Jury Deadlocked on Identity Theft Charge

BOZEMAN (AP) — A 57-year-old man has been sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison for charging $4,735 with a tool salesman using a stolen identity and possessing a stolen firearm.

Tennessee jury convicted the man who hacked into Sarah Palin’s e-mail account during the 2008 campaign on two of four charges, according to Fox News.
The jury in Knoxville found David Kernall guilty of computer fraud and obstruction of justice, but judged him not guilty of the wire fraud charge and deadlocked on an identity theft charge.

HARLAN — A 21-year-old Denison woman faces a felony identity theft charge for allegedly using another individual’s identity to gain employment in Shelby County.
