Former Charlton Fire District official indicted for alleged theft

BALLSTON SPA — A grand jury indicted Virginia DeCapria Wednesday on nine charges stemming from her alleged theft of between $400,000 and $500,000 from the Charlton Fire District No. 1 over the course of about five years while working as treasurer for the district.

Broomfield police seek help in identifying Derda Center credit card theft suspect

Broomfield police on Wednesday released surveillance photos of a suspect in an Aug. 17 theft at the Paul Derda Recreation Center in hopes that the public might lead them to a suspect in the crime. They suspect the man also might be behind other thefts in the Denver-metro area.
